Deltagen (DGEN) grew to be a multi-site, 300+ person organization with a completely integrated IT infrastructure for life science research and development.
The DeltaBase informatics platform built by the Virtual Chemistry team helped Deltagen turn science into revenue.

Example Applications:
Image Management. This web-based application was designed to allow side-by-side image comparison and detailed searching across the entire image database. The search functionality was greatly facilitated by the inclusion of an ontology-based search which utilized the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS).
Graphing and Statistics. This screenshot shows a web-based engine for statistics and graphing that leverages the open-source R Project for Statistical Computing.
